Women's sessions
Padel is one of the most mixed sports going, and paduno is for everyone. Some players would still rather start, or keep playing, in a women-only space. These sessions are for them, and they are planned for our first season.

Women-only sessions
- Women on court.Every player in the session is a woman. The session is listed as women-only and the filter on the game finder shows only these.
- Women captains.Every women-only session is hosted by a woman captain. We are recruiting them now. could it be you?
- Daytime as well as evenings.Weekday games in school hours, when courts are quiet and many women find it easiest to play.
- Every level. From never held a racket to League standard. Beginner sessions include a coached introduction and a borrowed racket.
- Same competition. Results in rated formats count on the same paduno Rating as every other session, and women's pairs can enter any League division or Open band.
Privacy-conscious sessions
For players, including many hijabi players, who want to play without being seen by men, photographed or filmed.
We want to offer these, and we want to be straight about what that takes. Privacy depends on the building, not on us. Most padel courts are glass, and many can be seen from a bar, a corridor or the street.
We will only label a session "privacy-conscious" when the venue meets a published checklist, and the listing will say exactly which items it meets. If a venue can only offer some of them, we will say which, rather than round it up.
The checklist we'll publish against
- An indoor court that cannot be seen from public areas, or that has screening fitted for the session
- Women-only staff on court and in the immediate area for the session, where the venue can provide them
- No photography or filming of any kind, by anyone, during the session
- A clear description of changing facilities and the route from the entrance to the court
- A woman captain, and women-only booking
No venue has signed up to this yet. If you run a venue that could host these sessions, please talk to us.
Clear session rules
Every women's session has the same ground rules, read out at the start.
- Wear what you're comfortable in.Long sleeves, leggings, a sports hijab: all fine. The only requirement is flat, non-marking shoes.
- No photos without a yes.Photography is off by default in every women-only session. A captain may ask the group at the end whether anyone is happy to be in a photo; anyone can say no, and nobody is asked to explain.
- Nobody gets left out.Courts are balanced by level and new players are introduced by name.
- Speak to your captain. If anything makes you uncomfortable, tell the captain on the night, or email us afterwards. How we handle concerns.
Led by the community
The best women's padel groups are run by the women in them. We would like women's sessions to grow the same way, with players becoming captains, starting women-only crews and deciding what sessions their area needs.
If you'd like to help shape this before it launches, tell us what times work, what would make you comfortable and what would stop you coming.
Come solo. Play together.
