Who we are
paduno is a padel community based in London. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the controllers of the personal information described here are Bradley Williams and Akram El Mouak, who run paduno together as a partnership in London. When paduno becomes a registered company, it will take over as controller and this page will say so. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
Today
This website does not currently store anything you type into it. The join form creates a pre-filled email that you choose whether to send. If you send it, or email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you include, such as your area, level and interests.
When booking opens
- Account details: name, email, phone number, area and self-assessed level.
- Bookings: sessions booked, attendance, cancellations.
- Results and ratings: match scores and the rating calculated from them.
- Payments: handled by our payment provider. We will not see or store your full card number.
- Preferences: for example, an interest in women-only sessions. We only use this to show you relevant sessions.
- Safety reports: if you or someone else raises a concern.
Why we use it
- To run the sessions you book, and contact you about them — to perform our contract with you.
- To calculate ratings, run leagues and balance courts — our legitimate interest in fair competition.
- To send news about sessions near you — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep people safe and handle concerns — legitimate interests, and where required, legal obligations.
- To keep accounting records — legal obligation.
We will never sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Captains see the names and levels of players booked into the sessions they host. Venues may receive the number of players attending. We use service providers for email, hosting and payments; they process data only on our instructions. Your rating and results may be visible to other members, and you will be able to control how your name appears. We may share information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while you're a member and for up to two years after you last use paduno, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Financial records are kept for six years, as the law requires. Safety records are kept for as long as is needed to deal with the concern.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and storage
This website does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers. It loads a font from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers. If this changes, we'll update this page and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Photos
Photos and video taken at paduno sessions are covered by our photography and consent policy. We only publish images of people who have agreed, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.
